The WHY reveals our nature! Do you like trees? You’ll love its wood.
A 140 cm x 80 cm table in solid ash from France, 2.50 cm thick, represents a wood mass of 40 kg. It is composed of 3 elements from the atmosphere and the water cycle:
- 32.4 kg Carbon (50%)
- 28.5 oxygen (44%)
- 3.9 kg hydrogen (6%)
The WHY’s design is based on 3 distinct, easily separable elements: the feet, a mounting frame and a worktop. All in solid wood. The icing on the cake is that Canadian researchers at the University of British Columbia have demonstrated that working in spaces with visible wood furniture has a measurable influence on well-being, reducing stress indicators and promoting concentration and recovery after exertion.
